Maintenance Technician - Mammoth

Role Classification: Part Time – 20 hours Position Summary The Vacation Rental Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance tasks on our vacation rental properties. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing a variety of systems and equipment, ensuring properties are safe, functional, and meet Nomadness Rentals’ quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance, excellent problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to providing excellent service. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs, to ensure properties are in excellent condition. Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify and address maintenance issues before they become significant problems. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs to minimize inconvenience for guests. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with various systems and equipment, providing efficient and effective solutions. Coordinate with external contractors and service providers when specialized repairs are needed. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work performed and parts used. Ensure properties are safe and comply with all relevant health and safety regulations. Assist in setting up and maintaining property amenities, such as pools, hot tubs, and outdoor equipment. Communicate effectively with property management, cleaning teams, and guests to ensure a seamless and positive experience. Conduct quality control inspections of homes prior to guest arrive to ensure proper standards have been met. Participate in an on‑call rotation to handle after‑hours emergencies as needed. Valid Drivers License required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is preferred. Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a hospitality or property management setting. Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance practices. Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems and equipment. Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for traveling between properties. Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and working in various environmental conditions. Working Conditions This position requires frequent travel to various properties within the designated area. Maintenance tasks may need to be performed on weekends, holidays, and outside of regular business hours, depending on guest needs and emergencies. The role involves both indoor and outdoor work environments, sometimes in adverse weather conditions.
