Project Manager

The Project Manager plays a pivotal role in coordinating and implementing Cultural Resource Management (CRM) projects from planning through completion. This role ensures project scopes, schedules, and resources are aligned with client expectations and organizational standards. This position is responsible for reviewing scopes of work, developing staffing plans, coordinating field and administrative teams, and monitoring deliverables. They act as a central communication link between GeoVisions leadership, Principal Investigators, Field Directors, Crew Leaders, and staff. This position requires strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to balance multiple projects, especially during heavy field seasons. While primarily administrative, this position may be called upon to assist in fieldwork as needed, with training provided.

Training & Development

● Participate in training related to project management tools (e.g., Basecamp) and organizational policies.

● Contribute to the development of standardized templates, KPIs, and best practices.

● Provide training and support to staff on project-specific matters. Fieldwork Support (as needed)

● Support field crews when staffing or contract needs require additional coverage.

● Receive on-the-job training for specific field assignments if not previously trained.

Requirements

Education

Required:

● High school diploma or GED

Preferred:

● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Archaeology, Anthropology, GIS, Environmental Studies, Geology)

● Completion of an accredited field school or certification in CRM-related programs

Experience

Required:

● At least 1 year of project management or implementation experience.

Preferred:

● 2+ years of supervisory or program management experience for teams of 10+

● Experience managing complex project scopes and interdisciplinary teams
