Electrician (Prevailing Wage Project) – Stamford, CT Location: Stamford, Connecticut Job Type: Full-Time (Project-Based / Contract) Compensation: Prevailing Wage (Based on Connecticut Department of Labor rates) + Fringe Benefits Job Overview We are seeking experienced and reliable Electricians to join our team for a prevailing wage project in Stamford, CT. This role involves performing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on commercial and/or public works projects in accordance with state and local regulations. Candidates must have a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently on deadline-driven projects. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial or municipal environments Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Run conduit (EMT, RMC, PVC), pull wire, and install panels, lighting, and switchgear Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical systems Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes Adhere to prevailing wage requirements and certified payroll procedures Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with OSHA standards Work collaboratively with project managers, foremen, and other trades on site Requirements Valid Connecticut E1 or E2 Electrical License (required) 3+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience (preferred) Experience working on prevailing wage/public works projects (a plus) Strong knowledge of NEC and local building codes Ability to read blueprints and technical documents Reliable transportation to job site in Stamford, CT OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (preferred) Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or lifts as needed Contract Information This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stamford, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $45.00 per hour. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
