As a Behavior Analyst in our Children’s Program at Anderson Center for Autism , you’ll help children build foundational social, communication, and daily living skills that will pave the way toward a bright future. What You Will Do as Behavior Analyst in Our Children’s Program:- You will conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and other evidence-based skills assessments, reassessing to ensure that service delivery continues to be least-restrictive and appropriately aligned with results and goals.
- You will provide direct, person-centered Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services in both educational and residential settings.
- You will develop and oversee the implementation of quality, evidence-based, personalized behavioral and skill acquisition support and intervention plans, providing training as needed to colleagues in an effort to ensure consistency across settings.
- You will provide management and supervision of Residential and Education Behavior Specialists (RBS, EBS) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and fulfill other duties as assigned by the Behavioral Services Supervisor.
- You will maintain appropriate data collection systems that empower you to analyze information, monitor progress, and interpret it to determine if you need to adjust interventions.
- You will assist in the daily operations of behavior service areas, promoting program development and the expansion of services.
- You will work with the interdisciplinary team to ensure consistency and to promote resolution of concerns (this might include speech, OT, PT, and teaching staff, among others.)
- You will utilize efficient and effective communication strategies to promote an open exchange of relevant information in supporting those we serve.
- You will develop individual- and program-specific reports and summaries.
- You will share your expertise as needed when asked to participate in agency training initiatives.
- You will provide direction and leadership to the Behavior Services Department.
- You will provide timely, accurate completion of assessments, progress notes, and regulatory documentation.
- You will connect with parents and caregivers, offering advice on how to support generalization of skills when their children are at home.

- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology preferred; will consider graduate degrees in other human services disciplines as well.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) designation (or expectation of imminent completion as a Behavior Specialist).
- New York State LBA preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in the human services field preferred.
- Strong ability to confidently and effectively communicate and collaborate.
- In addition, we expect that you:
- Obtain and subsequently maintain qualifications in all health, safety and crisis intervention procedures of the agency, such as First Aid, CPR, SCIP-R and medication administration certification.
- Complete agency training.
- Fulfill all mandated reporting requirements, ensure compliance with agency policies, and adhere to organizational protocols.
