Benefits Verification Specialist

Providing after-hours benefit verification coverage, the full-time Benefits Verification Specialist will verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits, identify authorization requirements, and ensure smooth revenue cycle operations while working remotely during evening and overnight shifts. Key Responsibilities Monitor schedules for next-day appointments and verify patient insurance coverage prior to services Determine patient responsibility for copays, deductibles, and coinsurance, and document findings accurately Collaborate with BVA, scheduling, billing, and AR teams to ensure accurate workflows and support denial prevention efforts Required Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in benefit verification, medical insurance, or prior authorization Strong knowledge of commercial and government payers, insurance policies, and healthcare terminology Familiarity with payer authorization portals and workflows Knowledge of denial management and insurance appeal processes Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
