This position requires rotating shifts between day and mid shifts. The role involves providing care for patients of all age ranges from infants to geriatric patients. You will encounter a fast-paced environment with various complex diagnoses. The nurse-patient ratio is generally 1:4, with the possibility of 1:5 during lower acuity periods. Flexibility to float within the specialty and sister facilities is required. Weekend coverage every other weekend is mandatory. Holidays will be scheduled as required. You will be managing patients with diverse needs, including trauma, acute psychosis, and respiratory issues. Additional responsibilities include performing procedural sedation administration and managing ventilated patients. The position involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care. Candidates must be comfortable in a dynamic setting and have experience managing complex cases in an emergency department.
