Accounting Specialist

Become our next Accounting Assistant in Charlotte and help manage invoices, receipts, and payment tracking. If balancing worksheets, clearing queues, and staying ahead of the numbers feels good, this role is built for you! What Your Workday Includes Code process and apply customer payments by recording checks and ACH. Verify discrepancies and resolve customer billing issues, including customer info and account details/contacts. Resolve collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line, and contacting the customer to collect past due balances. Code and process vendor invoices and remittances. Process employee expense reports. Maintain organized accounting files, records, and documentation. Assist with payroll processing and reporting as required. Prepare and distribute basic financial and/or sales reports. Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and employees regarding invoices or payments. Support month-end closing and reporting activities. Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements. Assist in year-end closing and reporting. Prepare information as needed for outside CPA/Auditors. Perform general administrative and accounting support as necessary. What We Require Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum 5 years of continuous experience in accounting or bookkeeping. Solid knowledge of Accounting standards, GAAP and financial reporting. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Advanced Excel knowledge preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy required. Demonstrate positive communication skills, oral and written. Process improvement skills and able to leverage technology.
