The facility operates a Level 3 trauma center providing 24/7 acute care surgery and trauma coverage, supported by a strong clinical team dedicated to delivering high-quality surgical and emergency services.

Job Details:

• Immediate need for locum Acute Care Surgeon coverage to maintain continuous 24/7 coverage while recruiting for a permanent hire
• 24-hour shifts providing round-the-clock acute care surgery and trauma call coverage
• On-call response required within 30 minutes; primarily in-house coverage during the day with trauma beeper coverage at night
• Manage a high-volume census of 30+ patient encounters per shift including acute care surgical cases
• Respond to on-call, ED consult, and urgent OR demands
• Lead and manage all trauma calls as part of the acute care surgery team
• Active Arkansas medical license required
• Board certification required with ATLS certification required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 30 days

Compensation:
