| Onsite | Direct Hire Location: Lincoln, NE Job Description This position offers a variety of hands-on accounting responsibilities, including daily deposits, payroll, tip calculations, reconciliations, and Excel reporting across multiple locations. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, notices when something doesn't look right, and has the critical thinking skills to investigate discrepancies rather than simply processing transactions.

What You Will Do Record and reconcile daily deposits, sales activity, and cash transactions across multiple locations. Assist with biweekly payroll processing, including reviewing timecards, calculating employee tips, and reconciling payroll information. Process accounts payable invoices, code expenses, prepare payment reports, and resolve vendor discrepancies. Maintain Excel spreadsheets, consolidate information from multiple worksheets, and create pivot tables to summarize financial data. Identify and investigate discrepancies in invoices, deposits, and financial reports to ensure accuracy. Support recurring accounting reports and maintain organized, accurate financial records. Other duties as assigned. What You Bring 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, including general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and accounts payable. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to consolidate data across worksheets and independently create pivot tables. Experience with QuickBooks Online and proficiency in Microsoft 365. Experience with payroll processing or payroll-related accounting responsibilities. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to independently manage recurring tasks and deadlines. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize errors, investigate discrepancies, and ask thoughtful questions. High attention to detail, dependable follow-through, and the ability to communicate effectively with management. Experience with multi-location accounting, retail or hospitality operations, employee tip calculations, Square, or Shopify is a plus. The base salary range for this position is to be determined, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
