Job Title: Line Operator (Fusion - 2nd Shift) Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Line Operator on the 2nd shift, where you will be an integral part of the Line 1 Operating Team. This role involves rotating through various positions during an 8-hour shift, ensuring the efficient and safe processing of blades through the production cycle.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and equipment to process blades, including placing them on the conveyor line, through the oven/furnace, and into the press.
• Utilize hand tools and grabbers to safely move blades from the press to the quench for cooling.
• Hang blades on the line for painting and conduct quality inspections post-painting.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth and efficient production process.

Essential Skills

• Experience in general labor and production environments.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Proficiency in measuring and attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.
• Comfortable standing for 10-hour shifts and rotating among stations.
• Experience in assembly, machine operation, and operation processes.
• Ability to identify quality defects with a keen eye for detail.

Work Environment

Work in a clean and organized facility, featuring a production line, welding department, shipping/receiving, and engineering department. The environment may get hot at times, particularly near the furnace/oven, but offers a structured and team-focused setting. Orientation begins at 6 AM with a comprehensive introduction to the company, ensuring a smooth transition into your new role.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rock Island, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
