Position Lead CT Technologist – 32‑hour nights (Wednesday–Saturday, 11p.m.–7:30a.m.) Department CT Scan Position Summary Under direct supervision of the CT Manager, the CT Technologist utilizes computerized tomography scanners to produce cross‑sectional images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. The role requires operating a CT scanner, performing studies on patients of all ages, and ensuring the quality and timeliness of imaging. The technologist works closely with radiologists, nurses, and other staff to deliver high‑quality images and excellent patient care. Essential Responsibilities / Duties Operate a CT scanner to perform required studies and manage departmental workflow. Perform appropriate studies for patients of all ages as dictated by policy and procedure. Ensure exam requisition matches patient identification, condition, and history; request additional information as needed. Prepare patients for exams, ensuring comfort and modesty. Accommodate patient needs and staffing requirements through flexibility and timely scheduling. Monitor patients’ conditions; provide assistance or notify nurses if required. Set up equipment and use proper imaging techniques; adjust imaging parameters to improve study quality. Work with radiologists to provide requested images, including additional views and variations of techniques. Complete procedures within timing constraints and communicate with coworkers about work requiring completion. Provide patient‑focused customer service, handling complaints professionally, and protecting patient privacy. Handle telephone calls and service requests in a professional manner. Maintain accurate documentation for billing, including electronic orders and paperwork. Adhere to managed care guidelines for proper recording of radiology procedures. Job Requirements Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology. ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology with CT specialty required, or to be obtained within one year of employment.
