Haven Treatment Center is actively hiring  Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs) to join our growing behavioral health team serving children and adolescents ages 5–17.

Position Responsibilities

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will provide behavioral health services within their professional scope of practice and applicable Washington State requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy
• Complete behavioral health assessments
• Develop individualized treatment plans
• Establish measurable clinical goals and objectives
• Complete progress notes and required clinical documentation
• Conduct ongoing clinical evaluations
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings
• Provide crisis intervention when clinically indicated
• Complete safety planning and therapeutic interventions
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychiatric providers, nursing staff, case management, discharge planning, schools, families, guardians, and community providers
• Participate in discharge and aftercare planning
• Provide family education and therapeutic support
• Maintain timely, accurate, and professional documentation
• Communicate significant changes in client condition or safety concerns
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical review activities
• Attend required meetings, training, and continuing education

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

• Hold an  active Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in good standing
• Hold a qualifying master’s degree in counseling, clinical mental health counseling, psychology, or a related behavioral health field
• Demonstrate competency in clinical assessment and treatment planning
• Have strong clinical documentation skills
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication
• Be able to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and accountability
• Successfully complete required background and employment screenings
