ER Registration-Hosp Leadership Opportunity

Banner North Colorado Medical Center is a 378-bed Level II trauma center and acute care facility with over 3000 employees. Our hospital offers an array of inpatient and outpatient services including medical, pediatric, obstetric, orthopedic, surgical, heart, cancer, and critical care. This position is responsible for the management and daily operation of designated registration areas. Through the effective management of the patient financial services staff, provides high quality services in patient registration, notification to third party payors, insurance verification, up-front collection, financial counseling and cashiering. Provides service excellence at each stage of the registration process, to patients, their families and medical service providers.

Core functions include mentoring and developing staff, maintaining positive communications with patients and staff, maximizing cash flow, adhering to the annual departmental budget, providing effective leadership and education to staff, engaging in process improvement, ensuring new hires are properly onboarded, and working independently under general supervision.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field or equivalent work experience, four or more years of supervisory experience coupled with extensive hospital registration experience and demonstrated leadership skills, advanced mathematical skills, thorough knowledge of managed care contracts, other third-party payors, AHCCCS and Medicare, along with knowledge of medical terminology, ability to make independent decisions, manage multiple staff members, communicate effectively, and use common office software.

Preferred qualifications include CHAM certification, strong abilities in patient financial services database use and reporting, and additional related education and/or experience.
