Job Summary

The San Diego Unified School District is currently accepting applications for the position of Behavior Support Specialist. This promotional open opportunity is open to all interested candidates. This list will be good for three months with the possibility to be extended.

BASIC FUNCTION: The Behavior Support Specialist will assist in data collection and assessment for behavior support services; assist in developing, implementing, and training staff in the use of positive behavior support and intervention techniques.


VACANCY / POSITION SPECIFICS: Working Location is Whittier K-12 Alternative School, 3401 Clairemont Drive, San Diego, CA 92117. Work Schedule: 10 months per year / 35 hours per week. This position is paid on the Paraeducators Salary Schedule. Grade 038. Positions 20 hours per week or greater qualify for District-paid health and wellness benefits for the employee and their eligible dependents.
