In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in Special Education programming, providing comprehensive testing and assessment services. Your primary focus will be determining eligibility for the Exceptional Children (EC) program, alongside conducting reevaluation testing. You’ll utilize your experience to administer a variety of assessments, including cognitive, adaptive, behavioral, and specialized screenings.

Qualifications:

• Current School Psychologist license in the state of North Carolina
• Strong understanding of eligibility criteria for Special Education services
• Experience with psychoeducational assessments and report writing
• Ability to work effectively with K-12 students and diverse teams
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to assist in EC program eligibility determinations and reevaluations
• Administer and interpret cognitive, adaptive, and behavioral tests
• Prepare detailed evaluative reports for multidisciplinary teams
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement student support strategies
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations

This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with immediate start and lasting through late May 2026. You’ll manage a dynamic caseload encompassing various age groups and needs, with support staff and resources available.
