Accounts Payable Specialist

Accounts Payable Clerk (Contract-to-Hire) Location: Vernon Pay: $23$24/hour Schedule: MondayFriday | Full-Time Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to support high-volume invoice processing and vendor payment activities. This contract-to-hire role offers an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced accounting team with potential for long-term growth. Key Responsibilities: Process and code high-volume vendor invoices accurately and efficiently. Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents. Prepare and assist with weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments. Review invoice discrepancies and work with internal teams and vendors to resolve issues. Maintain organized electronic and paper records of invoices and payment documentation. Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding items. Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner. Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting as needed. Support audits by providing documentation and reconciliation support. Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum of 2+ years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience. High attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude.
