Position: Office and Store Operations Manager - Japanese Bilingual Status: Full-time, Exempt Salary Range: $72,000 - $90,000/year DOE Schedule: Primarily weekdays, with occasional weekend support as needed Summary of the Position: Our client is seeking a hands-on Office and Store Operations Manager to support its growing U.S. retail business. This role is not a general administrative position. The person will serve as a key liaison between the store team, Japan headquarters, shopping mall management, vendors, and local partners to support smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate is reliable, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting both office administration and store operations. This position has strong potential to grow into a broader operations leadership role as the business expands in the U.S. Key Responsibilities Support daily store operations and coordinate with the Store Manager and store staff. Identify operational issues related to staffing, products, facilities, and store workflow, and help resolve them. Review timecards, attendance records, invoices, expenses, payments, and internal documents. Coordinate with Japan headquarters regarding reports, requests, deadlines, and operational matters. Communicate with shopping mall management regarding facility rules, required documents, events, safety, and emergency matters. Work with external partners such as accounting, payroll, HR, legal, logistics, vendors, and local service providers. Prepare, organize, and translate documents in Japanese and English as needed. Provide hands-on store support during busy periods, product launches, staffing shortages, or special events. Qualifications Business-level Japanese and English communication skills. Prior experience in retail store operations, store management, or operations coordination. Strong communication and coordination skills with multiple stakeholders. Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle administrative tasks accurately. Reliable, responsible, and able to handle confidential information. Comfortable working on-site and supporting store operations when needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience in retail management, area management, or commercial facility operations. Experience working with Japanese companies or Japan headquarters. Experience coordinating with shopping malls, vendors, or external partners.
