Work Environment\n

This full-time position allows for a flexible remote work environment while also engaging with clients in our outpatient office. Our supportive team consists of experienced mental health professionals, allowing for collaboration and shared learning. Work hours are typically Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, ensuring a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly residents, identifying individual care needs and formulating effective treatment plans.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, addressing issues such as grief, loss, anxiety, and adjustment challenges that seniors may face.

• Work closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to create and implement personalized care strategies that promote mental health and well-being.

• Provide education and guidance to family members and staff on best practices for supporting seniors' emotional needs and psychological resilience.

• Facilitate grief and loss counseling sessions for clients and their families, assisting them through the complexities of end-of-life issues.

• Develop and run cognitive stimulation programs and other mental health initiatives aimed at enhancing cognitive function and emotional support for elderly individuals.

In this role, you will focus primarily on elderly clients who face a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, and adjustment to life changes. Understanding the unique needs and backgrounds of seniors from diverse cultural contexts is essential for providing effective support and building trusting relationships.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in the state of New York.

• Minimum of 4 years of recent hands-on experience in geriatric counseling or mental health services.

Compensation and Benefits\n
