Job Description

This Quality Inspector role blends hands-on product testing, customer interaction, and quality control in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You provide technical support to customers while supporting quality control operations, including product inspection, testing, and inventory management. You assist in documenting and implementing corrective actions to improve product quality and enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed visual inspections of products to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Conduct quality checks and testing on assembled products to ensure proper function and workmanship.
• Use blueprints and related documentation to understand product requirements and inspection criteria.
• Support quality control operations by maintaining accurate inspection records and documentation.
• Assist in inventory management related to inspected and tested products.
• Identify product defects and nonconformities, and help document corrective actions.
• Contribute to implementing corrective actions aimed at improving product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Provide technical support and clear communication to customers regarding product quality and performance.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams to address quality issues and improve processes.
• Use Microsoft Office applications to prepare reports, track data, and maintain quality records.
• Apply attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to resolve quality-related issues.
• Learn and comprehend technical information relevant to products, processes, and inspection methods.

• Hands-on quality inspecting experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Strong attention to detail when performing visual inspections and quality checks.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and product specifications.
• Experience with quality assurance principles and inspection practices.
• Previous customer service experience, with the ability to interact professionally with customers.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, and basic computer systems.
• Good typing skills and data entry accuracy for maintaining inspection and quality records.
• Excellent verbal communication skills for internal and external interactions.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Ability to learn and comprehend technical information related to products and processes.

• Additional manufacturing experience is desirable.
• Experience working in an assembly environment is beneficial.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Strong organizational skills for managing inspection tasks and documentation.

Work Environment

You work on-site in a clean manufacturing environment with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role involves hands-on inspection and testing in an organized facility, using standard office software and basic computer systems to support quality documentation and communication.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loves Park, IL.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
