Accountant III

A property management firm in New York City is seeking an Accountant III to support property-level accounting operations, reporting, and analysis in a fast-paced onsite environment.
About the Opportunity:- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: Onsite
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports for accuracy and compliance
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities for the property
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets and prepare reports comparing budgeted costs to actual costs
- Produce financial reports and assist with financial analysis for property operations
- Work closely with the onsite property management office and interact regularly with vendors and tenants
- 5+ years of financial and/or accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related financial discipline
- Knowledge of federal, state, and company accounting policies, procedures, and regulations
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related accounting software
- Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses
- Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles as needed
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking abilities
- Advanced degree in a financial discipline.
- Experience in Real Estate Accounting
- Experience with CAM reconciliations and Lease Review
- Experience with Project Accounting
- Experience with Yardi financial software
