You'll help guide clinical staff, coordinate care, and ensure compliance with all standards while fostering a homelike and respectful atmosphere. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Direct, administer, and document resident care in accordance with physician orders and community policiesMonitor and record resident progress and communicate with physicians and family membersAssist physicians and nurse practitioners during roundsCoordinate and manage care provided by nursing staff and oversee CNAsParticipate in admission assessments and resident care planningMaintain accurate records, Medication Administration Records (MARs), and treatment plansRespond to emergency and health-related calls from residentsParticipate in on-call rotation and provide coverage when neededSupervise and assist with orientation and ongoing training of nursing personnelProvide in-service education and promote professional developmentSupport resident rights and dignity in every interactionEnsure compliance with infection control, OBRA, OSHA, and HIPAA standardsUse and manage medical equipment and electronic records systems, including PIXISParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and committee work as needed (e.g., QAPI, safety)Requirements:Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of North CarolinaCurrent CPR certification (must meet American Heart Association standards or equivalent)Experience with geriatric or long-term care residentsStrong clinical judgment and documentation skillsAbility to lead a team and manage multiple prioritiesPhysical ability to assist with resident transfers and emergency carePreferred: Experience working in a Life Plan Community or similar senior care environmentFamiliarity with the Household Model of care and person-centered practicesPhysical & Environmental Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently; assist with resident transfersFrequent bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, and standing for extended periodsUse of various medical and office equipment throughout the shiftWork is 100% indoors with a focus on resident-centered careExposure risk: Category I/II – Direct contact with blood or other bodily fluids may occurRequires excellent communication, sensory, and cognitive abilities
