SUMMARY:

If you are looking for a flexible work schedule to supplement your income, then this position is for you. The Corporate Host is a part time position, and the rate will be between $100-$250 per day picking up a few shifts a week.

Since 1997, The Funplex has operated two parks in New Jersey; offering a variety of family entertainment options from rides and slides to bowling and laser tag, right in your backyard. With over 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor activities, the Funplex guarantees fun 365 days a year for families and teens alike, regardless of weather. Located in East Hanover and Mount Laurel, New Jersey, the Funplex is your go-to venue for birthday parties, corporate outings, and other important events.

We are seeking an energetic and charismatic Corporate Host to facilitate engaging and memorable events for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a vibrant personality, and a knack for keeping guests entertained and informed. As a Corporate Host, you will be responsible for orchestrating various corporate events such as meetings, teambuilding events, and company parties, ensuring they run smoothly and leave a lasting positive impression on attendees.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Hosting Events: Serve as the primary host for corporate events, maintaining a professional yet approachable demeanor throughout.
• Engaging Audience: Captivate and interact with audiences to keep them engaged and interested in the event proceedings.
• Facilitating Activities: Oversee the event, serve and replenish the food, or oversee structure team-building activities as part of the event agenda.
• Managing Schedule: Keep the event on schedule and ensuring all planned activities are executed within the allotted time frame.
• Providing Information: Serve as a point of contact for guests, providing information about the event, venue, and any logistical details.
• Promoting Engagement: Encourage attendee participation by fostering a sense of community.
• Representing the Brand: Uphold The Funplex's values and brand image through professional conduct and interactions with clients, guests, and vendors.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Experience: Prior experience as a Corporate or Event Host.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
• Charisma: Natural charisma to captivate audiences and create an engaging atmosphere.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to different event formats and unforeseen circumstances with ease.
• Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage event logistics and keep track of multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Professionalism: Maintain a polished and professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times
• Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on event schedules. Must have weekday, daytime availability.
• Passion: Genuine enthusiasm for creating memorable experiences and delighting event attendees.

About the Organization
Lahn Hospitality Group is a growing family-owned company comprised of a variety of hospitality businesses including amusement parks, a hotel, restaurants, bars, golf courses and more.
Since 1997, The Funplex has owned and operated an amusement park company with two locations along the East Coast. The parks are a combination of family-friendly and thrill amusement rides, waterparks, bowling centers, and arcades.
In December 2021, Lahn Hospitality Group purchased The Legacy Club in Cherry Hill, NJ, a country club with a prestigious golf course and membership. The club underwent significant renovation including a new restaurant, atrium event facility, and much more. In the fall of 2023 LHAG opened its first dual branded hotel, La Quinta and Hawthorn Suites, complete with 125 rooms and the first in the area to combine two different Wyndham brands.
