Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized critical care nursing to ICU patients in a hospital setting, ensuring high-quality, attentive, and compassionate care. Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient recovery and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Administer ICU-specific treatments and monitor patient responses using advanced equipment such as ventilators, CRRT, and EVDs.
• Perform invasive procedures including central line insertions, arterial line placements, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions.
• Document patient status and interventions accurately within Meditech system, ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans based on individual acuity and needs.
• Maintain certification requirements (ACLS, BLS) and adhere to safety standards at all times.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience in a hospital environment.
• Proficient in performing advanced critical care procedures.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced ICU setting.
• Flexible scheduling availability, including at least 4 weekend shifts per schedule.
