Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Machine Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Omaha, Nebraska. The ideal candidate will have fabrication or machine operation experience, strong blueprint-reading abilities, and experience operating fabrication equipment in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate fabrication machinery according to specifications and work orders
• Operate CNC lasers, CNC waterjets, press brakes, rollers, punch presses, grinders, drills, saws, and related equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Perform quality inspections using precision measuring equipment
• Record labor and inventory transactions accurately
• Utilize ERP systems to review production orders and materials
• Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1–2+ years of fabrication, manufacturing, or machine operation experience
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, rulers, and measuring devices
• Strong math and measurement skills
• Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• CNC fabrication experience
• ERP or manufacturing software experience
• Forklift and overhead crane experience
• Previous experience in a custom fabrication or job-shop environment
