Project Analyst

Salary: $85,000 - 90,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree.
• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience managing multiple concurrent assignments in a fast-paced environment; candidates with an advanced degree may qualify with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in writing, editing, communications, or developing and reviewing professional written materials.
• Strong writing skills, including the ability to assess clarity, grammar, organization, consistency, and completeness.
• Experience managing and tracking multiple assignments, requests, or deliverables and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional attention to detail, including the ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, missing information, and formatting or compliance issues.
• Organizational and project management skills, including prioritizing competing needs and delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• Experience with electronic document management, routing, filing, or records-management processes, such as Microsoft SharePoint or a comparable platform.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with a team.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust clearance.
• Preferred: Experience in federal grants or a PMO office.
• Preferred: Legislative Affairs experience.
• Preferred: Federal government or management consulting experience.

• Serve on a team acting as the FEMA directorates primary point of entry for internal and external inquiries and information requests requiring agency review and response.
• Review, edit, and quality-check written materials for compliance with agency templates and communication standards, including grammar, punctuation, organization, plain language, tone, voice, consistency, completeness, and suitability for the intended audience.
• Draft, edit, and refine correspondence, memoranda, responses, and other communications related to FEMA information and legislative requests.
• Check written products for accuracy and completeness, fact-check information, and identify inconsistencies, omissions, or points needing clarification before review or approval.
• Communicate professionally with agency staff and FEMA and DHS components during the coordination, routing, review, and approval of information requests.
• Work with division personnel and subject matter experts to gather information, clarify content, set response timelines, and develop complete written products.
• Review FEMA and DHS policies, directives, procedures, and communications requirements to help ensure products and processes remain compliant.
• Track assignments from receipt through completion using established procedures, tracking systems, and concurrence processes.
• Coordinate the review, concurrence, approval, and signature of written materials by agency leadership and other stakeholders.
• Ensure final products are clear, concise, organized, accurate, responsive, and appropriate for executive, legislative, government, or external audiences.
