Registered Nurse or BSN - Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Missouri Schools for the Severely Disabled (MSSD) Salary: $46,272 - $49,872 Applicants eligible for years‑of‑service adjustments or shift differentials may exceed the salary range. What You’ll Do Coordinate and implement a plan for health screenings. Coordinate, design and implement special health care procedures. Provide training on lifting techniques, basic first aid, infection‑control procedures, dispensing medication, CPR and other in‑service as needed. Administer medication and other health care procedures. Follow proper nursing procedures and maintain appropriate documentation. Participate in staffing and IEP conferences to provide information on the student’s physical and health needs when requested. Oversee all SHCP. Make sure they are completed correctly, and all necessary supplies are available. Notify parents if additional supplies are needed. Utilize each student’s individual communication system. Take a leadership role in developing and implementing a comprehensive school health plan. Accurately complete required reports on or before established deadlines. Collaborate with building administrator to maintain an orderly, attractive, safe, and clean environment. Maintain CPR training instructor certification. Maintain confidentiality of parent, student and staff personally identifiable information. All You Need For Success Licensed as a registered nurse in Missouri. Experience with pediatrics and/or individuals with disabilities. The position requires a professional license pursuant to state law. (Other qualifications and experience which in the opinion of the Commissioner of Education meet the requirements of the position may be accepted in lieu of the above.)
