We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative Civil Structural Construction Superintendent for an assignment in Elkton, Virginia/Cary, NC client location, who thrives when people are in sync and construction projects are running like they should. You’ll take the lead on daily scheduling and planning activities at the project site, and ensure the right materials, equipment and people are there to get the job done. In this role, the person would be responsible for managing the daily operations of construction sites, coordinating teams, and ensuring compliance with project plans and safety regulations. Supervising construction workers and subcontractors, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance Coordinating on‑site activities, including scheduling work sequences and managing material deliveries Ensuring quality control by inspecting work and verifying construction methods Managing project schedules and budgets, resolving delays or conflicts promptly to maintain timelines Communicating effectively to report progress and address issues Enforcing safety protocols and OSHA regulations, conducting safety meetings, and promoting a safe work environment Here’s what you’ll need Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree At least 5 years of construction site experience At least 10 years of experience as a general foreman, and/or superintendent Demonstrated working knowledge of pre‑design and pre‑construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building required Ideally, you’ll also have Collaborate in planning, design, construction and commissioning Excellent communications skills Knowledge in use of software as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Bluebeam Participate in walkdowns and meetings and/or reviews with owner and designers Participating in constructability reviews Facilitate client and construction meetings Safety leader (JHA’s revision / daily signed off permits) Turn over process including TOP’s, punch list and walkdowns with contractors and owners Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
