Journeyman Electrician
McCarthy Building
POSITION SUMMARY The Journeyman Electrician will support the construction and installation of electrical systems for a utility-scale solar project in Paris, TX . This role involves performing code-compliant electrical work, installing and terminating equipment, and ensuring all tasks meet safety and quality standards. Candidates should be safety-focused, comfortable working outdoors, and able to maintain a reliable full-time schedule. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Terminate combiner boxes
- Panel/LV work
- Install metering equipment
- Layout, bend, thread and install conduit
- Layout and install switchgear, switchboards and electrical devices
- Trench with shovel and install PVC raceway
- Pull and terminate aluminum direct bury wire
- Connect and support DC wire
- Install electrical enclosures
- Supervise the work of apprentices
- Unload and stage material
- Perform electrical testing and commissioning
- Electrical Journeyman License Required
- Minimum 4 years' experience
- Solar experience preferred
- General knowledge of construction principles/processes required
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used on construction projects
- Must have a tape measure, level, and side cutting pliers (Lineman's)
- Proven commitment to safety and teamwork
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
- Age 18+
- Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization
