Outpatient Mental Health Therapist (child, family, adult):

Part-time to Full-time (in office and remote; hybrid position)

Strong preference for Registered Play Therapists or those with training in play therapy.

MySpectrum is offering outpatient counseling and coaching to children and adults, focusing on the Autism Spectrum, Substance Abuse Spectrum, Mental Health Spectrum, and Whole Life Spectrum. We are recruiting for an LPC or LCSW Therapist who specializes in play therapy, child therapy, and family therapy (with opportunity to balance the caseload with adult clients as well) in an outpatient setting with a particular focus on children and adolescents. We are seeking a Therapist who enjoys their work, likes to have fun, and is passionate about offering the most creative and innovative ways to treat clients. We want to serve clients who haven't otherwise been able to find the right fit for therapy, who don't fit the mold of other practices who have more narrow focuses, and most of all, want to reduce the stigma associated with receiving therapy. Some of the aspects of being in private practice that we will take care of for you at MySpectrum include:

• Credentialing with insurance carriers
• Billing (you get paid on a bi-weekly basis regardless of if we do)
• Office space in a renovated building in North Chesterfield

• Use of an electronic health record for documentation of sessions
• Therapy tools (books, toys, etc.,)

• Collaboration with other clinical professionals
• Flexible Schedule; option to work hybrid (both in office and remote) with administrative support throughout the week

Job Summary:

The Outpatient Therapist will provide outpatient therapy in an office and virtual setting. The standard caseload for full-time Therapists will be approximately 30 client sessions per week. We recognize that it may take time to build a solid caseload and are willing to work with you on a part-time basis until you become full-time. Since the primary responsibility will be to provide clinical services to clients,  MySpectrum will seek to offer the most effective tools to do so. We have completely renovated the office space, and offer a play/art room, room for groups, and administrative support. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide Outpatient Therapy in standard 50-60 minute blocks
• Complete Assessments
• Complete Treatment Plans
• Complete Progress Notes
• Provide input about the best strategies, techniques, and services to offer to help as many people as possible
• Be an integral part of the growth and development of MySpectrum !

Qualifications & Skills:

• Must be licensed as an LPC or LCSW in the state of Virginia, and eligible for credentialing with major insurance panels
• Experience with play therapy, family therapy, and child therapy practices, models, and methods of treatment
• Experience working with diverse populations

• The office hours available for you to create your schedule are 8:00am-8:00pm Monday-Thursday and 8:00am-7:00pm on Fridays. Flexibility to work within these hours as you choose in order to fulfill your client / session hours. Teletherapy can be provided any day or time from your home or remote location.

• Competitive compensation based on a 60/40 split (bi-weekly pay based on sessions conducted, not on what we have collected from insurance; you receive 60% of what we bill insurance regardless of if we get paid)
