Position Summary

The DISTRICT MANAGER - GA, AL & TN is responsible for maintaining and growing the HERITA USA portfolio of wines in their territory. The District Manager is a dynamic person who develops relationships in the market across the three-tier system. The District Manager trains and inspires distributor personnel as well as directly sells and calls on accounts in the trade. The District Manager represents the portfolio of HERITA USA in their region and is responsible for helping to raise awareness for all the brands in the portfolio. The District Manager plays a vital role in driving sales from trade accounts through to the consumer with education, market activity, and relationships.

Key Responsibilities
•  Distributor Interaction
o Brand/Wine presentations at General Sales Meetings (GSMs).
o Event activations for relationship development and brand education.
o Assist Area Manager in programming brand activities quarterly.
o Assist Area Manager in preparing & delivering business reviews against annual sales goals.
o Work with distributor personnel to achieve sales goals from HERITA USA management (including new placements, revenue, case goals).
o Monitor inventory monthly & aid in ensuring on hand inventory supports sales needs in the market.
•  Market activity
o Actively makes sales calls to the trade accounts, primarily in the on-premise.
o Develops and continues to build relationships across the three-tier network (with distributor personnel and trade accounts).
o Identify new account opportunities (call on, present and sell in).
o Maintain existing and ongoing relationships with trade partners.
o Host consumer facing events (i.e. wine festivals or wine dinners).
o Work with distributor salespeople against sales priorities.
o Work independently in the market.
•  Business acumen
o Continue to develop and grow wine knowledge.
o Has the ability to work with Microsoft suite of software as well as the ability to learn and use wholesaler data diving software (MicroStrategy, Diver, I-Dig, ect).

o Identify and share opportunities to grow our business in a positive and impactful manner.
o Displays original thinking and creativity for problem solving.
o Communicate pertinent information between HERITA USA management, distributor management and trade accounts.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt and respond to change quickly.
o Other duties as assigned by HERITA USA Management.

Job Requirements
•  Preferred 5 years' experience in the wine industry with a supplier and/or distributor in a sales position.
•  Genuine passion and knowledge of the wine industry, knowledge of Italian wines preferred.
•  Availability and willingness to work flexible hours and weekends, when necessary.
•  Candidate must reside within designated territory.
•  Candidate must be able to travel around within assigned designated territory, valid and clean driving record.
•  Candidate must be able to lift and carry a case of wine, 35LBS.
•  Candidate must be willing and able to travel to Italy, at the company’s request.
•  Candidate must be willing and able to travel to corporate headquarters annually.
