Medical AssistantLocation: Plano, TXIndustry: Healthcare / Women's HealthPay: $20–$22 per hourBenefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision and 401(k).About Our ClientAddison Group is hiring for our client, an established outpatient medical practice in Plano, TX, seeking a Medical Assistant to provide both clinical and administrative support to its providers and patients.This position is a great opportunity for an MA who enjoys direct patient interaction, can adapt to changing schedules and priorities, and is comfortable balancing clinical responsibilities with front-office support.Job DescriptionThe Medical Assistant will help support daily patient flow by preparing patients for appointments, obtaining vitals, reviewing charts, and assisting with scheduling needs. The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, and able to communicate effectively with both patients and providers in a busy medical office.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and room patients for scheduled appointmentsObtain and accurately document patient vital signsReview and prepare charts prior to provider visitsAssist providers with maintaining an organized and efficient patient flowAnswer incoming calls and respond to routine patient needsSchedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments as necessaryCommunicate scheduling changes professionally and compassionatelyHelp manage patient expectations when appointments or provider schedules changeMaintain accurate patient information and documentationProvide additional clinical and administrative support as neededQualifications6+ months of Medical Assistant experience required; 2–3 years preferredMedical Assistant certification is preferredCandidates who are not currently certified must be willing and able to obtain certification within the required timeframe for consideration for permanent employmentOB/GYN or women's health experience is highly preferredComfortable performing both clinical and administrative MA responsibilitiesStrong patient service and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a busy physician practiceReliable attendance and professional demeanorAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
