Grants Program Manager Research Post Award

Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Grants Program Manager, you will lead the design, implementation, and tracking of grant activities, assisting funders in achieving public health initiatives. You will identify and implement significant operating efficiencies for optimal grant fund utilization, collaborating with a multi‑disciplinary team for program referrals. Every day you will manage grant projects, focusing on improving efficiency, cost‑effectiveness, and quality of operations through project work, consultation, training, and reporting. Your expertise will be vital in navigating the complexities of grant program management. You will possess a broad understanding of grant management principles, including organizational management, outcome measurement, and budgetary oversight, coupled with outstanding problem‑solving skills and a strong background in managing complex projects within tight deadlines. You will also serve as the resident expert in your grant program, continuously updating your knowledge through education and networking. Responsibilities Collaborate with investigators to identify potential funding opportunities aligning with organizational research priorities. Develop proposal budgets and complete cost analysis to determine financial feasibility of research grant proposals. Ensure research grant adherence to all funder guidelines and requirements. Facilitate and obtain all necessary institutional approvals prior to submission. Conduct thorough reviews of grant applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance before submission. Manage the submission process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all required documents. Negotiate with funding agencies to address any questions or concerns regarding applications. Manage awarded grants, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions of the grant agreement. Draft and finalize all research grant‑related interagency agreements, cooperative agreements, and subaward agreements. Coordinate tracking of grant expenditures and support the preparation of financial reports to funders and internal stakeholders. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of all grant‑related activities. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination. Five (5) years relevant research grants experience. Experience in grants management, grant negotiation, and research compliance. Preferred: Master’s Degree or equivalent combination.
