Computational Physicist for AI Training

$80 - $100 per hour

Apply computational physics expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems through detailed, real-world technical input. This remote contract role is designed for STEM professionals who use AI coding agents in advanced computational workflows. Prior AI industry experience is not required. Key Responsibilities

Create detailed walkthroughs of complex computational physics problem-solving using AI coding agents.
Demonstrate agent-driven workflows with Codex, Claude Science, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork, including navigating large codebases, debugging nuanced issues, and developing sophisticated features.
Document the approaches, decisions, and methods used to generate agent-driven sequences, rather than chat-based interactions.
Evaluate and explain how agentic tools support architectural changes and help resolve ambiguous computational challenges.
Produce high-quality examples and technical feedback that inform AI model training.
Communicate findings clearly and accurately in written and verbal formats.

Qualifications

Advanced hands-on computational physics experience, including a record of technical problem-solving and research.
Python proficiency.
Demonstrable real-world experience using Codex, Claude Science, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork.
Current or recent STEM professional experience applying AI agents to technical workflows beyond basic coding support.
Ability to explain complex, end-to-end technical solutions and the agentic tools used throughout the work.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including detailed technical documentation.
Experience creating agent-driven problem-solving sequences rather than relying on chat-based interactions.
Familiarity with debugging, architectural change management, and development in large-scale code environments using AI tools.
