Physical Therapy Assistant - PTA

Come join us at Kahl Home!  We are a Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm since 1955.   Our state-of-the-art services, amenities, and excellent staff make Kahl Home a premier nursing facility in the Quad Cities.

We are seeking to hire a Physical Therapy Assistant - PTA.

Physical Therapy Assistant – PTA Qualifications:  

• Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an approved technical program.
• Licensed and in good standing by the State of Iowa and current registration (Should be a member of the American Physical Therapy Association).
• One year of experience in Long Term Care is preferred.

Physical Therapy Assistant – PTA Job Summary:  

• Implements physical therapy resident care program as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Follows established procedures in the application and use of heat, cold, light, water, sound and massage.
• Utilizes special equipment: braces, prostheses, bandages, etc.
• Observes and reports the resident’s responses to the Physical Therapist.
• Completes required documentation.
• Maintains equipment and functional aids for cleanliness and good working order.
• Assists in maintaining inventory of supplies.
