Maintenance Tech

We are looking for a responsible and responsive individual to put their knowledge of buildings and machine repair skills to use. We want someone with a team mentality who can take the initiative to install, repair, and monitor production machinery and building maintenance, along with the regular, day-to-day demands of this job. The ideal candidate for this position would be able to do the following and possess the following Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Understand and utilize lockout/tag out equipment. Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Coordination and scheduling of waste shipment management, external inspections (Fire, FM Global, Wastewater), and on-site EHS inspections Actively participate and lead safety team. Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned by Plant Manager or any other member of the leadership team All of these objectives must be carried out in a safe and appropriate manner while maintaining an acceptable level of quality and efficiency Experience/Education High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience. 4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience. An AA degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance is a plus. Position Demands Able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and stand for long periods of time on a daily basis Able to bend, twist, turn, carry, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, climb etc Able to work at heights. Able to work safely with hazardous chemicals and wear personal protective equipment as required. Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects.
