Operations Associate II

Job Summary This position is responsible for performing general warehouse functions including pick/pack and scanning in accordance with AMS’ set procedures. The Operations Associate II will utilize a company‑issued handheld device to pick a wide variety of items and place them in containers and bins following specific instructions. They will check containers for damage, ensure correct items and quantities are selected, and perform duties according to standard operating instructions, ensuring inbound and outbound shipments are correct and defect‑free. Responsibilities Completes daily assignments including pick & pack and scanning of product. Use new technology for picking and scanning verified using InOrder and handheld device. Communicate effectively with Operations manager/supervisor and lead when a job is completed. Perform housekeeping duties at the end of each working day in accordance with specific zone procedures. Work in different areas of the warehouse as needed. Front of wall: Stand for long periods, use ring scanner and recognize blinking lights quickly, read numerical display, ensure correct product is scanned, maintain pace for smooth workflow, self‑direct and shift to back of wall when necessary. Back of wall: Be mobile, shift to walls with most open orders, count accurately, emphasize detail, determine illegible shipping labels, be mobile during idle time, read and interpret numerical displays, ensure correct slot is worked on. Command center: Multi‑task in fast‑moving environment, manage several wall stations, understand inventory levels, look up inventory in system, maintain positive attitude, work organized, team oriented, high sense of urgency. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of work experience in a similar role. Strong problem‑solving skills. Excellent verbal communication skills. WMS system knowledge preferred. Attention to detail and organized. Ability to safely operate equipment such as box cutters. Ability to work overtime and weekends with short notice. Work well under pressure and in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to work harmoniously with diverse range of people. Able to lift up to 45 lbs. Working Conditions This job operates in a warehouse environment and could be exposed to various temperature changes as well as noisy and loud surroundings. The role typically requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting.
