Human Resources & Accounting Specialist

JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources and Accounting Specialist assists with the day-to-day human resources duties and carries out responsibilities of the finance department. This position requires in-clinic responsibilities and is staffed during normal business hours.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Credentialing:Verifying practitioner documentationTracking licensing requirementsTracking and managing practitioner Continuing Medical Education (CME) requestsPayroll Functions:Processing practitioner timesheetsRecording practitioner time off requestsManaging practitioner expense reimbursement requestsAssists with practitioner orientationAccounts Payable (AP):Processing vendor invoicesCoding expensesIssuing paymentsFollowing up on vendor communicationAccounts Receivable (AR):Invoice processing (rent, outside services)Managing client billingHandling payment processingProcessing depositsMiscellaneous:Greets and directs visitors/vendorsActs as a resource internally & externallySupport, organize, coordinate, and facilitate administrative duties as assignedSUPPLEMENTAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Remain punctual, reliable, and available for coverage if applicableMaintain a positive and respectful attitude while supporting the clinic’s visionWork effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environmentMaintain a neat and well-groomed professional appearanceMaintain confidentiality of all information acquired through clinic employmentEstablish and maintain positive working relationships with providers, internal personnel, and outside facilitiesAbide by clinic protocols, ergonomic recommendations, and OSHA standardsAdhere to the clinic philosophy and provide comprehensive care according to a patient-centered healthcare clinicWORKING CONDITIONS:Is subject to interruptions, deadlines imposed and frequent problem-solving activitiesMay be subject to hostile and emotionally upset patients, staff, and personnel from other agencies.Standard Office EnvironmentPHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must possess sight/hearing senses, or use prosthetic devices that will enable these senses to function adequatelySit for several hoursRepetitive motions involving use of phone and keyboardSubject to lifting and carrying supplies averaging 25 poundsEDUCATION:Minimum: High School DiplomaDesired: Associate’s degree in Business, Accounting or Human ResourcesEXPERIENCE:Minimum: 1-3 years in a customer service-oriented positionDesired: 1-3 years of hands-on experience in accounting, payroll, and credentialingKNOWLEDGE:Ability to work independently and communicate well with practitionersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of accounting and HR softwareKnowledge of PC, Windows, & Microsoft OfficeAbility to multi-task #J-18808-Ljbffr HUDSON PHYSICIANS SC
