Responsibilities include overseeing the quality of care delivered to patients, performing psychiatric assessments, providing individual therapy, family therapy and medication management, maintaining patient confidentiality, leading the multidisciplinary treatment team, demonstrating appropriate medication administration, complying with Seclusion and Restraint requirements, participating in ongoing PI activities and hospital committees, and complying with all Medical Staff Bylaws and facility policies and procedures.

Qualifications include a graduate of an accredited medical school, completed residency in psychiatry, board certification preferred, prior experience in hospital based psychiatric practice required, licensed as a Medical Doctor (M.D.) in the state of Illinois, maintains membership in local chapter of the state medical society, and maintains active status with medical staff.
