FORECLOSURE LITIGATION ATTORNEY

A national law firm providing legal services to financial insitutions seeks a Foreclosure Litigation Attorney for their NY office. This role is largely remote, with occasional in-office appearances, so candidates must be in the NY area. The Foreclosure Litigation Attorney will be responsible for drafting and reviewing foreclosure related pleadings, in addition to attending foreclosure settlement conferences for the Firm. Position requires (a) 1+ years of foreclosure litigation/real estate litigation/mortgage litigation experience; (b) an active license to practice in NY.

salary: $80,000 - $130,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Prepare and Review Foreclosure Related Motions such as Summons and Complaints, Orders of Reference, Motions for Summary Judgment and Judgments of Foreclosure and Sale
• Attend Hearing and Mediation Appearances
• Prepare Analysis of cases and advise Clients regarding legal strategies
• Draft Court Pleadings, Status Letters, Denial Letters and Written Requests
• Must collaborate with Supervising Foreclosure Attorney, Business Unit and Per Diem Appearance Counsel
• Provide Legal Directives for Clients on the behalf of the Firm
• Directly Manage Escalated Cases including the management of Client Systems
• Coordinate Bank Rep and Client Appearances
