Quality Technician

Schedule: Mon‑Fri 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 1:00 AM Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour, plus a $2,000 prepaid card for medical expenses (prorated based on start date) Who We Are We are changing the norm by being customer‑focused, technology‑led viaPhoton builds custom‑engineered fiber optic solutions that power AI infrastructure, data centers, and 5G networks for some of the biggest names in tech. About the Role You'll be our quality advocate, testing and inspecting everything that comes through our facility. Whether checking raw materials or finished products, you'll use specialized test equipment to make sure every product meets our standards. Your work directly shapes the reliability of products used in critical infrastructure worldwide. Perform inspections and testing of raw materials and finished products against all specifications and company standards Operate and maintain reliability test systems including thermal chambers, optical test equipment, tensile testers, and Hi‑Pot testers Support product development through verification, validation, and ongoing reliability testing (ORT) Generate detailed, accurate reports with careful presentation of test data and findings Manage inventory of testing materials and accessories, and coordinate equipment calibration schedules Support creation of 8D reports, reliability reports, and first article inspection reports What You’ll Bring Have an associate degree in Engineering Technology or a 2‑year diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Optical fields Have 5+ years of industrial experience in a manufacturing environment (a plus, but not required) Are proficient with test equipment and reliability test systems and related software Have careful analytical skills and can generate comprehensive reports Are willing to travel as needed Can manage multiple project priorities at once Robust health, dental, and vision coverage that starts on day 1 401(k) with 4% match, vests immediately after a 90-day waiting period Flexible PTO that grows over time 10 paid holidays, including 2 floating holidays We are an equal opportunity employer and make all employment decisions based on merit and qualifications.
