Patient Services RepresentativeLocation: Tulsa, OK 74136 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days, Mon - Fri, 8:00A - 4:30PJob Responsibilities:Schedule patient appointments via phone and in person.Register new patients and update patient demographics.Answer and route incoming phone calls.Prepare and maintain provider schedules.Coordinate appointments requiring multiple services.Greet and check patients in and out for appointments.Collect patient payments and issue receipts.Balance and close the daily cash box.Prepare encounter forms, billing packets, and daily deposits.Code procedures and diagnoses.Verify provider signatures and documentation.Copy insurance cards and process patient paperwork.Prepare ancillary service forms (X-rays, vascular services, etc.).Print and fax physician schedules.Maintain patient charts and medical records.Request, file, retrieve, and organize medical records.Prepare new patient charts and inactive chart storage.Verify insurance eligibility and primary care providers.Obtain referrals and prior authorizations.Discuss financial accounts and sliding fee eligibility with patients.Maintain office supplies and coordinate reordering.Prepare physician correspondence and immunization cards.Sort, distribute, and log incoming mail.Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced clinic environment.Work collaboratively with physicians, staff, and patients.Requirements:Minimum 1 year of professional work experience.Professional front office, patient-facing experience required.Experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.EMR experience preferred.Patient registration experience preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office.Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.High attention to detail and organizational skills.No license or certification required.Preferences:Patient registration experience.
