Lead Project Manager - Substation & Transmission

ResponsibilitiesThis position allows for a hybrid arrangement with a mix of work from home and in the office.This position will offer you the opportunity to manage the execution of multiple transmission, substation and distribution projects. The position will involve coordinating with multiple internal and external departments to manage the life cycle of capital project execution.Responsibilities include:Project execution, contract administration, planning and resource managementOwnership for all aspects of project performance including safety, schedule, budget, reporting and client experience through entire project life cycleAccountability for all phases of the project life cycle from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/controlling, and close outManaging and directing the project team to ensure accountability; mentoring and coaching team membersDeveloping and maintaining a positive working relationship with client functional leads and stakeholdersLeading efforts to ensure projects are completed safely, satisfactorily, on time, and within budgetSupporting the reporting of key performance indicators for schedule, budget and other dashboard itemsIdentifying and controlling construction riskRecognizing, identifying, tracking and controlling changeCommunicating and consulting with appropriate stakeholders and supervisorsPreparing reports that project information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirementsAnalyzing issues and providing solutions to improve resultsQualificationsWe do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.Essential skills and experience:15+ years of experience in Project Management of Utility, Construction, Engineering, or other relevant experienceProven experience managing multi-disciplinary teamsExperience in capital project managementExperience with serving as a firm/client liaison in a support or lead roleAbility to multitask and manage multiple competing priorities is critical to successStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a collaborative team settingA high school diploma or GEDComfortable with approximately 10-25% domestic travelValued but not required skills and experience:A BS in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or similar degreeEngineering design experience is a plusPMP Certification is a plusConstruction/field knowledge or experience is a plusTechnology & InnovationSargent & Lundy values the appropriate use of technology to improve how work gets done and deliver high-quality outcomes for our clients.
