Direct Care Relief Staff - Adult

NFI Massachusetts, Inc. a human service organization is currently seeking Direct Care Staff for one of our ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) programs located in Dracut, MA. NFI’s Alfred Drive residence serves adults with acquired brain injury (ABI) and adults who might otherwise require care in a nursing home or long-stay hospital. Individuals are typically referred to the program after spending time in long-term care facilities. The program offers residents a full range of services including assistance with activities of daily living, recreational opportunities, individual support, transportation, and coordination of medical needs and services. The goal of the program is to enable adults to live in a less restrictive setting, to offer the maximum level of independence, and to fully engage in community life. Job Responsibilities:

• Giving medication
• Personal Care
• Laundry
• Clean up
• Trash
• Transportation (Driving the van and taking clients to day programs)

Job Requirements: * This is an entry level position and qualified candidates will preferably possess two years experience working with similar population. * High energy level, superior interpersonal skills, and the ability to work alone and in a team atmosphere. * Current MAP certification preferred. If the candidate is not currently MAP certified and accepts the position, they will be expected to obtain the MAP certification within the first several months of employment. * Must hold a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
