Job Title

Registered Nurse – Cardiac Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Pediatric Cardiac Stepdown unit for patients with both medical and surgical cardiac defects
• Manage and monitor patients requiring trachs, ventilators, and high-flow nasal cannula
• Care for post-operative patients following cardiac catheterization and transfer from the CTICU
• Administer and monitor inotropes and support patients post-heart and lung transplant
• Float to different units within the facility as needed based on assignment requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio Registered Nurse license – must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac Stepdown experience
• 2 supervisor references required at time of submission; at least one must hold a manager or supervisor title
• Candidates must not have worked permanently at this facility within the past 2 years
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility (no local candidates)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with pediatric heart and lung transplant patient populations
• Familiarity with inotrope administration and post-operative cardiac surgical care
