They reflect our core values of Dependable, Passionate, Collaborative, Empathy, and Community, supporting our vision to empower dreams and our mission to leverage our collective resources to help one another thrive.Role SummaryAs a Consumer Lending Specialist, you serve as a key point of contact for owners, helping them understand and access consumer loan solutions while ensuring accurate, compliant processing from application through funding.Key responsibilities include taking inbound calls and responding to email requests; interviewing owners and completing consumer loan applications for underwriting; processing, closing, and disbursing approved loans; identifying appropriate lending and related product options based on needs; maintaining daily follow-up on assigned loan queues; and adhering to internal policies, security procedures, and applicable regulations.Required qualifications/skills: - High School Diploma or equivalent- Minimum 1 year of lending experience (lender or processor)- Knowledge of credit union products and ownership- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail; accurate typing/calculator skills- Ability to work independently, collaborate as a team, and work flexible hours as neededIf you’re ready to contribute to a high-standard lending experience, apply today.A Typical DayYour day is a steady mix of owner conversations and focused documentation. You start by reviewing your lending queue, prioritizing items that need follow-up, and checking for updates from underwriting. Throughout the day, you switch between phone and email, providing clear next steps and timeframes to keep owners informed. Between interactions, you verify details, prepare closing documents, and coordinate funding so timelines stay on track. You’ll also pause to confirm forms and disclosures are complete, then document actions carefully to support audit-ready files.
