As a Fire & Contents Restoration Technician , you'll be part of the team that helps customers recover after some of the most difficult situations they may experience. You'll clean and restore homes and belongings, carefully document contents, remove smoke and soot damage, and help return properties to their pre-loss condition.

What You'll Do

As a Fire & Contents Restoration Technician, you will:

• Respond to residential and commercial properties affected by fire, smoke, and other damage.
• Inventory, pack, move, clean, and restore customer belongings and contents.
• Determine which items are salvageable and which are non-salvageable.
• Clean and restore smoke- and soot-damaged contents and structures.
• Load and maintain company vehicles with the equipment, products, and supplies needed for each job.
• Set up work areas, equipment, and containment as needed.
• Perform restoration and cleaning processes according to SERVPRO procedures.
• Use industry technology to photograph, document, and track contents and restoration work.
• Communicate with the Crew Chief and other technicians to keep projects moving efficiently.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Clean and organize the jobsite and equipment at the end of each project.
• Represent SERVPRO of Alexandria professionally while working in customers' homes and businesses.

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on restoration position. You must be able to:

• Lift at least 50 pounds regularly and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Climb ladders and work at elevated heights
• Work in tight spaces, including crawl spaces and attics
• Repeatedly push, pull, lift, carry, and move equipment and materials
• Work around cleaning agents and restoration chemicals
• Work in environments affected by smoke, soot, water, debris, and other property damage

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Ability to successfully complete a background check, subject to applicable law
• Willingness to learn and follow SERVPRO safety and production procedures
