Principal Researcher in Survey Methodology

Leading the design and analysis of survey data in health program evaluations, the full-time Principal Researcher in Survey Methodology will work remotely to develop questionnaires, manage data processing, and produce statistical reports while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Key responsibilities: Support the development and execution of survey methodologies, including sampling frame evaluation and complex design sampling Conduct technical reviews of data collection plans and author technical reports for both technical and non-technical audiences Supervise and mentor research staff while managing project budgets and timelines in a collaborative environment Required qualifications: Ph.D. in survey methodology, economics, psychology, sociology, statistics, computer science, public policy, public health, or related fields with 8+ years of experience Demonstrated understanding of survey operations, including questionnaire design and data analysis Experience with statistical software such as Stata, SAS, R, or Python Proficient in descriptive and inferential statistics and methodological concepts Experience leading projects and writing proposals for federal agencies
