This role will lead the design and review of electrical systems for large-scale industrial facilities, ensuring projects meet technical standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in industrial electrical design and a strong understanding of building systems, construction documentation, and project coordination. This individual will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop high-quality electrical designs while supporting project planning efforts such as cost estimation, scheduling coordination, and technical review during construction. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex projects while mentoring junior engineers and helping drive engineering excellence across the team.What You'll DoLead the design and review of electrical systems for industrial buildings, including power distribution, lighting, and related infrastructureDevelop and review construction documents, including electrical drawings, specifications, and design calculationsUtilize design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM platforms to produce coordinated engineering designsPerform technical evaluations and design calculations to ensure system performance, safety, and code complianceConduct site observations and field assessments to verify installation progress and resolve design or construction issuesReview shop drawings, submittals, and contractor documentation to ensure alignment with project specificationsSupport construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs and providing technical guidance during constructionAssist with project controls coordination, including cost estimation, scheduling input, and design deliverable planningCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are achieved efficientlyMentor junior engineers and support internal design quality standardsExperience and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited universityProfessional Engineer (PE) license required, with an active NCEES record preferred10+ years of experience in electrical design for industrial or large commercial building projectsStrong technical knowledge of electrical power distribution systems, lighting systems, and building electrical infrastructureProficiency with industry design tools including Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM platformsDemonstrated experience preparing construction documents, specifications, and engineering calculationsExperience supporting construction administration, including site visits, shop drawing review, and technical coordination with contractorsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex design challengesExcellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teamsSelf-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple project priorities while maintaining high-quality engineering standardsSkills & CompetenciesStrong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentPositive attitude, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple prioritiesSelf-motivated with a commitment to producing high-quality workWillingness and desire to learn, grow, and advance professionally within the organizationEffective communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholdersBenefitsCompetitive compensation based on experience (DOE)Per diem and travel allowance (if applicable)Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement planOpportunity to support upcoming projects and grow with our expanding project portfolio
