If you enjoy solving mechanical challenges, keeping equipment running at peak performance, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll DoAs a Maintenance Technician, you'll keep our production equipment and facility operating safely and efficiently. You'll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, complete repairs, and help minimize downtime across the bakery.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, troubleshoot, and repair packaging equipment, conveyors, ovens, boilers, refrigeration systems, and other bakery machinery.Repair and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC-controlled equipment.Set up and maintain production machinery, including wrapping machines, natural gas-fired furnaces, gas fryers, dough mixers, batching and scaling systems, boilers, freezers, and conveyor systems.Perform preventive maintenance and routine equipment inspections to maximize reliability and performance.Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary work environment.Ensure all equipment operates safely and complies with OSHA standards.Complete facility maintenance for both interior and exterior areas as needed.Investigate equipment failures and resolve issues affecting reliability, production throughput, product quality, or environmental compliance.Support the maintenance team by completing additional duties and special projects as assigned.QualificationsRequirements:1-3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing machinery, preferably bakery equipmentExperience working safely with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, conveyors, refrigeration, boilers and electronicsKnowledgeable in preventative/predictive maintenance proceduresMust be able to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.Ability to work with minimal supervision but also able to work as a teamAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingValid driver's license and be forklift certified after orientationProven experience with Lock Out/Tag Out proceduresPersonal tools requiredWilling to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulationsLewis Bakeries is an Equal Opportunity Employer and offers a competitive pay based on experience and low cost benefits including medical, dental, disability, life insurance and retirement plans.
