As Staff Field Applications Engineer at Micron, you will be part of a high‑integrity outstanding customer engineering team responsible for strengthening technical partnerships, inspiring partners to deliver the best products, and maximizing revenue. Responsibilities Work closely with Sales to develop and execute a strategic plan and track progress to key objectives Regularly visit customers to identify new business, discuss ongoing projects, areas of concern, and future needs Assist in solving problems and providing test support; serve as central point of contact during critical issues between customer and factory teams until resolution Act as an advisor to customers by providing memory architecture advice, recommendations, technical training, and solution development Work with marketing and development teams to evaluate feasibility of specific new products or features and ensure customer specifications are met Coordinate lab‑related activities that support design‑in/validation process, including schematic/board layout reviews, design validation, and system level testing Flexibility to travel up to 25% of time Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field Proven ability in electronic board and system design, testing, system validation, and application engineering Experience with volatile, non‑volatile, and mass storage memories in automotive or embedded systems (NOR, NAND, DRAM, eMMC) Problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills, including lab testing and debug with oscilloscope, logic, and protocol analyzers Preferred Qualifications Experience as an applications engineer for a semiconductor manufacturer Salary The U.S. base salary range for this full‑time position is $163,200.00 – $276,800.00 per year, with additional compensation that may include bonuses, equity, and benefits.
